Founded in 1893, Lewis-Clark State College (or LCSC) is a public undergraduate college located in Lewiston, Idaho. It boasts a history born of vision and commitment to people. Lewis–Clark State College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. It also holds other discipline-based accreditations from agencies such as Idaho State Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification, National Council on Social Work Education, International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education, and Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.

LCSC is a member of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, the Council for the Advancement of Experiential Learning, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business, and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

LCSC offers over 80 undergraduate programs in the liberal arts and sciences, as well as in professional and applied technical programs. It is well-known for its criminal justice, education, nursing, and technical programs. LCSC Online:

LCSC provides online education for students who are unable to attend traditional college due to personal and professional commitments. Admissions

Lewis-Clark State College attracts qualified students who will succeed, thrive and contribute to the growth of the college and the community. Freshman students seeking admission to LCSC must send the completed application form along with the official transcripts, and SAT/ ACT score. Students must also take the Math/English/Reading placement tests. Students seeking a transfer to the institute musts end the application form along with official transcripts from all previously attended institutes. International students are also encouraged to apply for admission. Applicants whose native language is not English must submit a proof of English language proficiency.

Financial Aid

Lewis-Clark State College provides financial aid to the qualified and needy students to enable them to meet their college expenses. The institute offers a variety of financial aid programs such as scholarships, grants loans, and federal work study programs. Some of the scholarships offered at LCSC are Orval Austin Endowed Scholarship, Barton Family Memorial Scholarship, Harry Campbell Estate Endowed Scholarship for Education, Margaret Chavez Endowed Scholarship, The Marvin DeLuga Memorial Scholarship, The Michael and Phillip Duley Memorial Endowed Scholarship, and Kenneth R. and Mildred M. Students

Lewis-Clark State College boasts a vibrant and active student life. The Office of Student Services provides the support necessary to facilitate both the enrollment process and the transition to college life. The goal of Student Services is to promote academic and personal success for the students. There are several registered student clubs and organizations on the campus. Through this involvement, the students get a chance to explore opportunities, learn and practice skills, have an influence on the environment, and gain a greater sense of belonging to the campus community. Some of the registered student organizations include Active Minds, Ambassadors, Auto Mechanics, Campus Prayer, College Democrats, Exceptional Children, and Gay Straight Alliance.

Lewis-Clark State College’s athletic department sponsors men’s and women’s teams in diverse sports such as baseball, volleyball, basketball, tennis, golf, track, and cross-country. The institute is affiliated with National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA Division I) as a member of Frontier Conference. The sports teams are nicknamed as Warriors.

Intramural Sports:

Lewis-Clark State College’s intramurals and recreational sports programs that provide recreation, promote friendly competition, and encourage a healthy lifestyle for the students. CECE also offers online ed2go courses and solicits visitors from across the country with the Art Under the Elms and Road Scholar programs.
