Academics

Everest College Henderson .offers a variety of administrative educational paths. Degrees are available through three main programs: business, health care, and legal. Choose from Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or diploma degrees, and in the legal and business programs. Specific options include Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Medical Assisting, Medical Insurance Billing & Coding, Nursing, Criminal Investigations, Criminal Justice, and Paralegal.

Accreditation is granted by the Higher Learning Commission.

Unique Programs

Students at either campus may choose to complete part or all of a degree online.

Online learners complete classes at their own pace and schedule. A 24/7-phone number is available for technical help. Students meet a variety of people from all over the country who are also studying online and also have one-on-one interaction available with the instructor and a Student Services Coordinator.

The only requirements for online learning are a computer, an internet connection, and an e-mail address.

Students can choose from 6 different degrees to earn online:

  • Accounting (Associate’s)
  • Business (Associate’s)
  • Business Administration (Bachelor’s)
  • Criminal Investigations (Associate’s)
  • Criminal Justice (Associate’s or Bachelor’s)

Admissions

Everest has a unique admissions process in that they want to get to know you, and have you get to know them, before you apply to the school. First, contact the school to discuss your career goals. Second, go on a tour of the campus to get a better feel for how the school works.

Once you have an understanding of the school, the next step is completing the online application form, which only asks for name and contact information. From there, the admissions office will conduct a career placement assessment to analyze your talents and ensure that you are a good fit for each other.

Besides the career placement assessment and an interview with an Admissions Representative, a high school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, is required to apply.

Once you have completed the above, you are ready to enroll in classes. Diploma programs start monthly so you can begin as soon as next month.

Financial Aid

Meeting with Student Finance Planners is part of the admissions process. Forms of aid, for those who qualify, include student scholarships, federal Stafford loans, and federal PLUS loans.
