Accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), American Intercontinental University (AIU)—Houston is one of several related campuses within the United States and the United Kingdom.

Students seeking a degree in Business, have the following options:

  • Associate of Arts in Business Administration (AABA) with a concentration in Business.
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a concentration in Management.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Healthcare Management, Human Resource Management, or Management.

Students interested in pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice can choose the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (BSCJ) degree with a concentration in General Criminal Justice. Those interested in Visual Communications can choose a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication (BFA) with a concentration in Digital Design.

The university also offers the Associate’s to Bachelor’s Pathway program which is a program especially designed for students who would like to earn an Associate of Arts in Business Administration (AABA) degree online. Students in this program must also take a concentration in Business or Information Systems.

Admissions are non-competitive, but also not guaranteed. Prospective students must follow these admission steps to be considered:

  • send completed admissions application with a $50 application fee
  • provide a high school diploma or equivalent

Financial Aid

Prospective students have a number of financial aid options. All students seeking financial aid must fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). A financial aid advisor is selected to work with the student and help them determine the best options for aid, including federal and state financial assistance programs, university scholarships and grants, and for working students, the possibility of tuition reimbursement. Students who may be considered for tuition reimbursement should check with their current employer.

AIU—Houston is a campus which serves a variety of students including military students, international students, high school students, and working professionals. It is a commuter campus in the Westchase District of Houston with no residences or athletics programs.

The Houston Campus is one of several locations of the university. The other campuses include Dunwoody and Buckhead in Georgia, South Florida, London, United Kingdom and an Online Campus, managed in Illinois.
